Austria’s capital receives a new transport hub: The Vienna Central Railroad Station. The book introduces the railroad station, with essays, planning drafts and photographs. It gives the reader a documentation that offers insights into the construction and operational phases of the stations as well as a look back at the existing structures before construction. The construction of Vienna Central Station also led to a fundamental transformation of the urban area between Wiedner Gürtel, Arsenalstraße, Gudrunstraße and Sonnwendgasse.
