Berdorf is the most famous sport climbing area in and around Luxembourg. The crag offers over 150 high quality sandstone climbing routes from 4 to 8b+ with a maximum height of 35 m. Spring and autumn are the best seasons to climb in Berdorf. However, climbing in summer is also possible although you should not expect the best conditions. The winter days risk to be too cold for climbing. It is recommended to check the weather conditions before coming to Berdorf.
Being a five star climbing crag, Berdorf has the major problem to be often overcrowded. The appearence of the new topo, has considerably raised the number of climbers in Berdorf.
Since April, 2016, you need to be a member of an UIAA or IFSC association in order to be able to climb in Berdorf.
When climbing in Berdorf, please:
do not leave any waste
avoid making noise
clean the routes after climbing
do not block routes after climbing
support local shops and infrastructures
avoid climbing in large groups
