Ostrov is a llittle czech village in the Elbsandstein mountains which is surrounded by beautiful rocks. 400 towers and walls with 3800 routes wait to be climbed. In the middle of it all is a campground with a restaurant, from where it is between 5 to 20 minutes to the rocks. A lake for swimming makes the scenery perfect. And the czech beer ... Attention: this is with its 560 pages the most comprehensive guide of Geoquest. With it you may stroll around the towers without climbing any of the routes twice for many, many years (if not to say: decades). We could only dare to make such a thick bible by a single reason: the approach to the rocks exceed barely 15 minutes. The guide ist in German and English, Routes and summits are also in Czech language.
